My mom is here from Florida helping us out and watching Violet for three weeks. She brought her some outfits including this leopard one.
My brother's comment when he saw the picture: "Why do you buy her the same outfits [as you] in miniature?"

Bottle Wars
We tried at least 9 different bottles over the past 14 weeks, off an on, hoping that Violet would take to one of them and give us some options. We found we could trick her every so often, but after about 10 weeks, she no longer fell for it. She wanted the real deal or nothing at all, even during 5 -6 hour outings, she would turn red in the face and cry at even the hint that we might give her a bottle. She would rather have starved.
So, as we deemed each bottle a failure, we tried more. And more. And more. Finally, this past week, while I have been staying home with the kiddo and Brigitta has been back to work, we latched on to a couple and succesfully kept ourselves alive for 10 hour periods. Through the long process, we were able to declare a winner.
And the winner is ... Milk Bank
...and the Runner up is ... Green to Grow

14 Weeks!
Violet turned 14 weeks old yesterday, my first day home alone with her. I'm taking a week off while Brigitta goes back to work. My primary mission is to get V to drink from the bottle, which is going well so far.

Three Months
Violet turned three months old today. It really is crazy how fast the time goes by. People always tell us to take it all in because it goes by so fast and to quote Matt, "the last three months have been a blur". She's expressing more and more of her personality every day and it's pretty cool to be a part of it. She's been trying out fake crying on us; testing her voice to see which one makes us come to her rescue. Matt usually runs to her for almost every peep she makes. Daddy's girl.

Violet's Pets
Some fun shots from yesterday...Violet hanging out with her pets. We never let the dogs on the couch until Violet arrived. Now it's just too much of a headache to fight Levi off the couch. Plus he's not getting half as much attention as he used to. There's that and I want a new couch so I've given up on this one.

Smack!
Violet has been sucking her top lip like crazy the last couple of days. She's kind of obsessed with it and does it whenever she's not sleeping or eating. Here's a snip from this morning. The popping noises are her mouth.

78 Days.
Violet is now 78 days old and continues to entertain and keep us busy around the clock. I've got to get a video of her newest trick - smacking her mouth...over and over and over and over. Matt hasn't even witnessed it.
I think this is the beginning of the rolling over phase.
The baby in the mirror is a love/hate relationship.
